Baseball Recap: Harding Gets the Win

Harding lost to Cuyahoga Heights back in May of 2016, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Skippers came out on top against the Red Wolves by a score of 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Skippers.

Nate Jarvis got the start for Harding and what a start it was: he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elijah Harless, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Dambolena, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Harding's record is now 9-10-1. As for Cuyahoga Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Harding didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Conneaut on the 14th. As for Cuyahoga Heights, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-3 loss against Columbia on the 18th.
