Softball Recap: Mount Miguel Comes Up Short on the Road Against Southwest SD

Mount Miguel kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Southwest SD Raiders, falling 9-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Jasmine Bosley was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Laylah Castro was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Southwest SD and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Coming up, Mount Miguel will venture away from home to take on Orange Glen at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Southwest SD, they will welcome Monte Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest SD is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.
