Volleyball Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Comes Up Short

Lawrence-Nelson was the 2-0 winner over Giltner when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets on Tuesday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14.

Brynn Harrison paced Lawrence-Nelson's offense, picking up four kills. Harrison also shared the team's lead in assists with Maddy Laughlin: they picked up three each.

Giltner's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Reeson, who had 15 assists and seven digs.

Lawrence-Nelson's loss dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Giltner, with the victory, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 12-16.

Lawrence-Nelson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Harvard on the 27th. As for Giltner, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Silver Lake on the 27th.
