If Cherokee Trail wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eaglecrest, they should've done a better job of containing Naomi Emecheta. The Raptors walked away with an 8-0 win over the Cougars on Monday with plenty of help from Emecheta, who rushed for 106 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also threw for 146 yards while completing 73.1% of her passes. She also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making five total tackles and defending two passes.

One reason for the win was Eaglecrest's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for ten sacks. Zenobia Witt led the group effort, picking up four of those sacks all by herself.

The victory snapped Eaglecrest's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-11 record. As for Cherokee Trail, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Eaglecrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-6 win against Mullen on the 6th. As for Cherokee Trail, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-6 loss against Overland on the 4th.
