Football Recap: Thurston Starts off Right with Win over Caldera + How To Watch

Thurston had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Caldera, posting a 48-17 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colts also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Justin Fisher had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 159 yards and one TD while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Thurston's defense and their nine sacks. Cruz Gray led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself.

Looking ahead, Thurston will take on Silverton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caldera, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Albany at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
