Volleyball Recap: Tulelake Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Tulelake was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Dunsmuir last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Honkers came up short against the Hayfork Timberjacks on Monday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Honkers in their meetings with the Timberjacks: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-16.

Laynie Thomas paced Tulelake's offense, picking up four kills. Thomas got some help from Kayla Frey and her eight assists. Frey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Tulelake's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Hayfork, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-3.

Tulelake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Big Valley on the 21st. As for Hayfork, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Happy Camp on the 21st.
