Fairfield is 8-1 against North Adams since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will host the Green Devils at 5:00 p.m. Fairfield knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully North Adams likes a good challenge.

Fairfield barely beat Fayetteville-Perry the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions blew past the Rockets 11-5 on Monday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Corbin Willey made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Willey was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

In other batting news, Zane Matthews was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Caleb Rice, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Fairfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fayetteville-Perry only posted a batting average of .259.

Meanwhile, North Adams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to Lynchburg-Clay.

North Adams' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fairfield, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Fairfield's way against North Adams in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Fairfield made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Green Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
