Football Game Preview: Desert Mountain Wolves vs. Notre Dame Prep Saints + How To Watch

The Desert Mountain Wolves will head out to face off against the Notre Dame Prep Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert Mountain's defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so Notre Dame Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Desert Mountain is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Horizon just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 35-22 to the Huskies.

Despite the loss, Desert Mountain had strong showings from Easton Conner, who rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown, and Kai Tschen, who picked up 77 receiving yards and one TD. Conner also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making six total tackles (1.5 for loss).

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Arizona College Prep by a score of 31-21. While the Saints had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Knights 7-3.

Desert Mountain's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Notre Dame Prep, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Desert Mountain against Notre Dame Prep in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 35-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
