Volleyball Recap: Hopkinton Takes a Loss

Hopkinton lost against Lincoln-Sudbury back in October of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hillers fell 3-1 to the Warriors. The Hillers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Hopkinton lost, don't look at Sydney Stephen. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and three assists. Stephen has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Hopkinton's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Hopkinton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Westwood on the 20th. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Waltham on the 21st.
