Football Recap: Jay'veon Scott Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Ste. Genevieve

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lift for Life Academy walked away with it. They came out on top against the Ste. Genevieve Dragons by a score of 48-41 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lift for Life Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jay'Veon Scott, who picked up 134 receiving yards and three TDs. Tony Woolfolk Jr. was in the mix too, providing the Hawks with two touchdowns.

Lift for Life Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Ste. Genevieve, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Coming up, Lift for Life Academy will take on Valle Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 11.1 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them. Ste. Genevieve does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
