Volleyball Recap: Bella Ekeler and Teagan Williams Secure Win for Farragut

Farragut can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bearden Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Admirals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Farragut was led to victory by Teagan Williams and Bella Ekeler. Williams had 14 digs and three assists, while Ekeler had nine digs, six kills, and four aces. Ekeler has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last seven times she's played. Katherine Cabaniss also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Farragut was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Farragut's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Bearden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Farragut wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against West on the 9th. As for Bearden, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against William Blount on the 9th.
