Basketball Game Preview: Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS vs. Carlmont Scots

The Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS will head out on the road to face off against the Carlmont Scots at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hillsdale is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Hillsdale came up short against Burlingame and fell 56-49.

Meanwhile, Carlmont posted their biggest victory since December 10, 2024 on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Woodside with a sharp 66-45 win. Given the Scots' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Wildcats are ranked 572nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carlmont is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points over those games. As for Hillsdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Hillsdale ended up a good deal behind Carlmont in their previous meeting back in January, losing 64-46. Can Hillsdale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
