Softball Recap: Freehold Township Takes a Loss

Freehold Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-0 to the Marlboro Mustangs. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Freehold Township's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Marlboro, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Freehold Township is set to face off against their familiar foe St. John-Vianney at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Marlboro will square off against rival Colts Neck at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
