Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Lions vs. The First Academy Royals

The Faith Christian Lions will face off against The First Academy Royals on Wednesday. One thing working in Faith Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.

Faith Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They breezed by Orangewood Christian to the tune of 71-38. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Rams are ranked 602nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The First Academy). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 94-30 victory over Circle Christian.

Faith Christian has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for The First Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Faith Christian came up short against The First Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 65-52. Thankfully for Faith Christian, Julian Anderson (who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 21 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
