Amery posted their closest victory since May 2, 2025 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Grantsburg Pirates 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Amery's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Humpal, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

The victory got Amery back to even at 9-9. As for Grantsburg, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-4-1 record.

Amery didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-8 win against Baldwin-Woodville on the 12th. Grantsburg has also already played their next game (against Siren), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
