Soccer Recap: Campbell County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oliver Springs on Thursday, Campbell County came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 9-0 to the Oak Ridge Wildcats on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Campbell County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Oak Ridge are ranked 54th).

Campbell County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Oak Ridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell County will square off against Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oak Ridge, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Knoxville Central at 7:00 p.m.
