Football Recap: Waubay/Summit Comes Up Short

Waubay/Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 30-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redfield Pheasants. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pheasants apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Waubay/Summit's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Redfield, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Waubay/Summit will venture away from home to square off against Wilmot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Redfield, they will be playing at home against Hamlin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers' defense has only allowed 4.6 points per game this season, so the Pheasants' offense will have their work cut out for them.
