Recap: Manor New Tech vs. McDade Bulldogs
After a string of four wins, Manor New Tech's's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of McDade by a score of 42-40. Manor New Tech lost against McDade in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 36-21 score last time.
McDade's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexis Pacheco, who scored 10 points along with 7 steals. Pacheco is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Steffanie Zavala, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Manor New Tech's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for McDade, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Manor New Tech will take on Austin Achieve at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Austin Achieve comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for McDade, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvert at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
