Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Takes a Loss

Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fort Plain Hilltoppers, falling 13-3. If the Golden Knights were looking for revenge after losing 20-3 to the Hilltoppers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Fort Plain, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons will square off against rival Schoharie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fort Plain is set to face off against their familiar foe Johnstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
