Volleyball Recap: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After a string of four wins, Dennis-Yarmouth Regional's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Dartmouth Indians by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-19, 15-8.

Among those leading the charge was Reese Kupiec, who had 20 digs and two assists. Those 20 digs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Rutkowski, who had eight digs and four aces.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Dartmouth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dartmouth, they will host Westborough at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
