Preview: Browne Bruins vs. Arcadia Titans
Browne has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Arcadia Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-43, which was the final score in Browne's tilt against West Point on Monday. While losing is never fun, Browne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while West Point is ranked 84th).
Despite the defeat, Browne got a solid performance out of Raevonta Hill, who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Perez, who scored nine points.
Browne struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Arcadia's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Peoria by a score of 49-47.
Browne's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-7. As for Arcadia, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Browne might still be hurting after the 67-45 loss they got from Arcadia in their previous matchup back in December of 2015. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Browne was down 43-22.
