Softball Recap: Hanford Falcons vs. Chiawana Riverhawks
Hanford faced Chiawana in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Falcons never let the Riverhawks get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Three seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Heidi Sweet made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Sweet wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Neve Jimenez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
