Basketball Recap: Admiral Farragut Takes a Loss

Admiral Farragut lost against St. Petersburg Catholic back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Admiral Farragut BlueJackets took a hard 47-30 fall against the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons. The BlueJackets were down 39-17 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

St. Petersburg Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Liv Geritano out in front who posted 13 points. What's more, Geritano also racked up four boards, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaidon Jones, who earned 12 points and five steals.

Admiral Farragut has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Admiral Farragut will square off against Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 44-26 win against Shorecrest Prep on the 14th.
