Baseball Recap: Clinton Central Wins Going Away Against Bethesda Christian

Clinton Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bethesda Christian on Thursday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 18-7 margin over the Patriots. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Clinton Central got a massive performance out of Luke Shelley, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those two hits gave Shelley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Klayton Stevens, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Clinton Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Bethesda Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Clinton Central will venture away from home to square off against Faith Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethesda Christian, they will face off against Crawfordsville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
