It was a good run, but Beaverhead County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hamilton Broncs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Beaverhead County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 25-12, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Kaitlyn Konen and Sage Tash, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Cassie Keller and her 12 assists. Finally, Tess Tash kept Beaverhead County's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Lundyn Murray was a one-woman wrecking crew For Hamilton. as she had 17 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Murray a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jade Jimenez, who had 11 digs.

Beaverhead County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8-1. As for Hamilton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-2 record this season.

Beaverhead County will be playing at home against Corvallis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hamilton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Stevensville on the 21st.
