Volleyball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland lost against Chico back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Maison Cochran-Counts paced Woodland's offense, picking up seven kills. Cochran-Counts got some help from Harlee Sucevich and her 21 assists. Cochran-Counts was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Chico, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Woodland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against River Valley on the 6th. As for Chico, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Bear River on the 6th.
