Softball Game Preview: Bay Rockets vs. Lorain Titans

The Bay Rockets will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the Lorain Titans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bay is leaving town to face Lorain after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Bay lost 12-1 to Lakewood on Thursday. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Bay saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caitie Petersen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Petersen a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Lorain came up short against Elyria on Thursday, falling 15-3. The loss put an end to the Titans' undefeated start to the season.

Bay took their win against Lorain in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-0. Will Bay repeat their success, or does Lorain has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
