Soccer Recap: Southern Regional Comes Up Short

Southern Regional lost against Ocean Township back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 1-0. Southern Regional have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Southern Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Ocean Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Southern Regional will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hammonton at 4:15 p.m. on the 27th. As for Ocean Township, they will take on Colts Neck on Monday. Colts Neck's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Ocean Township's offense will have their work cut out for them.
