Kennewick took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Cheney, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Blackhawks 2-1 on Tuesday.

Kennewick's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matches. As for Cheney, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-2 record this season.
