Softball Recap: Johns Creek Has No Trouble Against Chattahoochee

Johns Creek's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Chattahoochee Cougars with a sharp 18-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Gladiators considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Swara Khatri looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Uma Pittman was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Hayden Kennedy also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Johns Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chattahoochee only posted a batting average of .200.

Johns Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Chattahoochee, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Johns Creek will challenge Cherokee at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chattahoochee, they will take on Northview at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
