On Friday, Lynden faced Burlington-Edison in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lynden Lions blew past the Burlington-Edison Tigers 60-32. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Lynden's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.6 points per game. As for Burlington-Edison, they moved to 13-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
