Winston Patterson gave up the fewest walks he has since back in May of 2024 on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Ralston Valley is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise.

Patterson's strong effort led Ralston Valley over Bear Creek and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
