Basketball Recap: Lake Mills' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Memorial Day over Savannah Classical Academy + How To Watch

Memorial Day was the 57-45 winner over Savannah Classical Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Matadors fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 53-51 on Wednesday.

Memorial Day lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lake Mills, who posted 13 points. Taurion Holloway was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Memorial Day's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Savannah Classical Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memorial Day will take on Savannah Athletic Association at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Savannah Classical Academy, they will challenge Veritas Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th.
