Volleyball Recap: Amity Regional Falls Despite Big Games from Griffin Davies and Soma Kim

Amity Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the New Britain Golden Hurricanes.

While Amity Regional had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Amity Regional's loss came despite strong showings from Soma Kim and Griffin Davies. Kim had 15 digs, while Davies had nine digs.

Amity Regional's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for New Britain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

After both having extra time off, Amity Regional and Hand will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for New Britain, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Xavier on the 22nd.
