Basketball Recap: Hinkley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hinkley lost against Manual back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thunder were dealt a 67-27 defeat at the hands of the Thunderbolts.

Several Thunder players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Qwamarius Lake, who posted eight points. Mading Miakol was another key player, putting up seven points.

Manual had a senior duo take command as Lee Byers dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten steals and Zubayr Carpenter went 9-for-13 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Ebert, who earned eight points and five steals.

Hinkley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hinkley has already played their next matchup, a 78-36 defeat against Aurora Central on the 5th. As for Manual, they will challenge Montbello at 2:30 p.m. on the 13th.
