Cathedral can attribute much of their success to Annabelle Hoban, who had ten digs and three assists. That's the most assists Hoban has posted over her last six matches.
Meanwhile, Roncalli was able to grind out a solid victory over New Palestine on Saturday, taking the game 3-1.
Cathedral better focus on containing Norah Bell and Faith Schoettle as the pair were huge in Roncalli's win. Bell had 42 assists and six digs, while Schoettle had 11 digs. Bell is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.
Roncalli was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive matchups.
Cathedral's record is now 23-9. As for Roncalli, their record now sits at 29-5.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Cathedral has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Roncalli struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
