South Dearborn and Madison pushed the score to 8-2 the last time they played Madison, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Knights fell just short of the Cubs by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, South Dearborn's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

South Dearborn dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Madison, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1-1.

South Dearborn wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Scottsburg on the 13th. As for Madison, they have also already played their next game, an 8-1 win against North Harrison on the 13th.
