With a playoff win on the line, NCSSM: Morganton rose to the challenge on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Leadership Academy Falcons a 1-0 shutout. The result kept NCSSM: Morganton happy, as they haven't lost a game since October 15th.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Jack Macnamara, who's now up to four this season.

NCSSM: Morganton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Leadership Academy, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5-5.

Coming up, NCSSM: Morganton will square off against Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
