Basketball Recap: Chagrin Falls Takes a Loss

Chagrin Falls was the 54-48 winner over West Geauga when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chagrin Falls Tigers took a 57-43 bruising from the West Geauga Wolverines on Friday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Defeat or not, Chagrin Falls got some senior leadership from Ryan Curtiss and Oscar Difranco. Curtiss went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds, while Difranco posted ten points. Spencer Kaas was another key player, putting up seven points.

Chagrin Falls' loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for West Geauga, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chagrin Falls will square off against Hawken at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. One thing working in Hawken's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for West Geauga, they will take on Fuchs Mizrachi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
