Lawndale proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 30) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hueneme Vikings, sneaking past 20-18. The Cardinals' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Roxanna Silva and Jackie Uribe certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Silva threw for 187 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72% of her passes, while Uribe picked up 58 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Lawndale's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Hueneme, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Lawndale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 19-0 win against Eastside on the 13th. As for Hueneme, they have also already played their next game, a 41-0 victory against Torres on the 13th.
