Burke had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chamberlain Cubs. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cubs, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Burke took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-6, 25-3.

Emmie Hausmann paced Burke's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hausmann got some help from Breckynn Pistulka and her nine assists. Pistulka also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kyrie Matucha, each putting up three.

Burke's record now sits at 15-1. As for Chamberlain, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Coincidentally, Burke and Chamberlain will both be playing Bon Homme the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cubs will play them later in the day, at 7:45 p.m.
