Baseball Recap: Scripps Ranch Takes a Loss

Scripps Ranch lost against Eastlake back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Scripps Ranch Falcons fell just short of the Eastlake Titans by a score of 5-4.

Scripps Ranch saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Sakurauchi, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Brayden Geruntino also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Scripps Ranch now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Eastlake, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

When Scripps Ranch and Eastlake next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Scripps Ranch will face off against Granite Hills and their four-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eastlake will try to stop Point Loma's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
