Recap: Idea Timberwolves vs. Cardozo Clerks
The Idea Timberwolves pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 76-55 walloping at the hands of Cardozo. Idea lost against Cardozo in their previous head to head back in December of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 77-73 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Idea lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nehemiah Johnson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Johnson scored a full 27.3% of Idea's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidy Koite, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Idea's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cardozo, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Idea will look to defend their home court on Monday against Eastern at 7:00 p.m. As for Cardozo, they will square off against St. Anselm's Abbey at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
