Volleyball Game Preview: Calistoga Wildcats vs. Roseland Collegiate Prep Grizzlies

The Calistoga Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Roseland Collegiate Prep Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Calistoga managed to slip by Credo the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Gryphon on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Roseland Collegiate Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Technology.

Roseland Collegiate Prep wouldn't go down easily and took Technology into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 10-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-7.

Calistoga's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Calistoga took their win against Roseland Collegiate Prep in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
