Soccer Recap: Oregon's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Oregon and Byron squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Oregon had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. Oregon were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior), but Byron's defense proved too tough.

Oregon moved to 15-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak. As for Byron, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5-1 record this season.
