Payson came into Friday's game looking for another win against Cedar, but Gabby Gomez wouldn't allow it. The Reds walked away with a 49-38 victory over the Lions on Friday thanks in part to Gomez, who posted 18 points. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Emmy Hales and Ruby Bahr certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hales dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds, while Bahr scored five points and three steals. The contest was Hales' third in a row with at least 16 points.

Cedar's record is now 4-5. As for Payson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Cedar will take on Snow Canyon in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Reds surely won't give up without a fight. Payson has already played their next game (against Hillcrest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
