Raymond Central won the last time they faced Crete and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 2-1.

Raymond Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Izabella Lubischer paced Raymond Central's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lubischer got some help from Savannah Masek and her 23 assists. Masek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Crete lost, don't look at Kelsey Talkington. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and four assists.

Raymond Central's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Crete, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Raymond Central and Crete will both be playing Yutan the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will head out to face the Chieftains at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
