Recap: Northfield Norsemen vs. Clinton Central Bulldogs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Northfield Norsemen can now relate to. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 58-16 on Saturday. Northfield's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Northfield struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Clinton Central racked up 12 assists.

It was another big night for Sara Parkison, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds for Clinton Central. Parkison has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Davison, who scored 11 points.

Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Clinton Central, the win (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Northfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clinton Central will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Union City at 10:00 a.m. on February 17th. Hopefully Clinton Central is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Indiana (they are ranked 54th, while Union City is ranked 241st).
