Basketball Recap: Fort Frye Cadets vs. Caldwell Redskins
Fort Frye lost against Caldwell back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fort Frye Cadets took a 55-38 bruising from the Caldwell Redskins. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Redskins are ranked 93rd).
Caldwell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Erb led the charge by going 6 of 9 en route to 15 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Erb a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Schott, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points.
Fort Frye dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Caldwell, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
