Baseball Recap: Pine Bluff Takes a Loss

Pine Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Arkansas Razorbacks, falling 18-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Zebras of the 19-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Pine Bluff saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sedrick Pridgeon Jr., who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Pine Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Arkansas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Coming up, Pine Bluff will take on Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Arkansas, they will square off against Sheridan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Razorbacks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
